Manipulating data in a spreadsheet can be fairly time-consuming. Thinking about writing a function and then having to do a Fill Down or Fill Right to apply it to all of your data values doesn’t seem too daunting, until you’ve wrestled to find the very bottom row without overshooting, or had to be specific about only applying the formula in certain circumstances.
